We spent a few minutes trying to figure out how this could have come to be. Please share your own theories.

This is so funny, you two! Mike saying, 'And it turned out someone drove their SUV into the bookstore' is classic. I like that most of the video was of your discussion about what could have made that happen. I think they did it on purpose.

Tough one. Accident or on purpose?
It might have been an accident but that would be kinda sad. Its much more fun imagine an angry bookstore customer who some how feels cheated that there are no hardbacks for sale in this weeks bargain rack so he slammed the gas pedal to the ground and took out his rage on the poor little bookstore.
Thanks for the interesting report from the street.

Geez - I hope there are no copycat crimes from all this.

I used to run an auto parts store and had a colleague at another store call and say, "What are you supposed to do if someone drives through the front window?"

Turns out the driver was coming to buy brakes and her brakes gave out as she approached the store. No joke. The moral of the story: don't do something like that or else you will be mocked on the Internet.

Alrighty so first might i say that it is wonderful to finally be able to watch one of your videos all the way through and not have it look like a picture book...YAY! :) second...this may look weird but the same thing happened in the 7-11 in anacortes! that guy put it in drive instead of reverse and drove straight through the wall! You could come up with all sorts of different conclusions like they really had to pee and didn't think they could make it all the way in the door so they just drove through it...or they thought that the building was an awful color and needed to be repainted...or it was a mission from the almighty or somethin but we all know those are crazy :) i think the guy put it in drive not reverse...totally spaced for a sec since he KNEW behind him was clear and GUNNED IT! :) or a bottle was stuck under his brake pedal ;) and another thing i'm almost positive about...whoever did it feels like an idiot right now :) specially since there's a website about it ha!!! way to go! :) love ya sis!

The last theory you suggest is very plausible. While we were waiting for seats at a restaraunt, a very old man got into his car, nailed the gas, popped over a curb, through bushes, down across the sidewalk, and t-boned my girlfriend's parents' car. You can get going pretty fast in just a short distance.

Way to vlog on the scene. Cheers.

so there's a rumor that this resulted from a battle over a parking spot. if that's true than its really sad. somebody said it was a big guy with a beard. The vanity plate on the SUV said "JOANDY". wow - can you imagine having to go home to your wife and tell her you drove your truck into a bookstore nearlly killing a bunch of people cuz you wanted the best parking spot? cute.

Eek -- scary stuff indeed and a reminder of the dangers of turning to "the dark side" while driving. A few years back a co-worker was on the scene when someone drove into some coffee-shop around Porter Square. If this keeps happening around that area, cue X-files episode (or fan fiction).

Mike was right on the case on this one. Some guy in Arizona actually drove through a Home Depot a few months ago in rage. Eek again!

Even though I'm a fan of wacky stunts, you won't see us driving through any buildings on DriveTime!

Ravi,
I'm very glad to hear you don't plan any mass building destruction on Drive Time. I was a little worried during the Luge episode, I have to admit...
